This is a twenty week program exclusively designed to prepare students to write the official GED examination. However, individual programs are available subject to the results of the GED Practice Examinations. The average time frame for completion of this program is 4 to 20 weeks dependent on the individual’s skill level and dedication.
The GED Prep Course is being offered on a 3hr/day – 5days/wk schedule and includes mandatory homework assignments.
The prerequisite for this program is a minimum grade 8 level of proficiency in math and English. (Preliminary academic upgrading is available, on site, if required to meet this prerequisite)
Week 1: Assessment & Orientation
Weeks 2 – 4: Language Arts, Writing
Weeks 5 – 7: Language Arts, Reading
Weeks 8 – 10: Social Studies
Weeks 11 – 13: Science
Weeks 14 – 19: Mathematics
Week 20: Practice Testing
Upon completion of each unit formal testing will be conducted and results, if required, will be forwarded to the case manager for progress monitoring.

This program requires 120 hours of classroom instruction – available in four to six hour days – and is continuous intake. It is designed to prepare students for employment in the auto industry. Subjects include: customer service, parts inventory, parts counter, and delivery. 6 – 8 week monitored co-ops are also available.
The Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC3) provides both students and job seekers with the foundation of knowledge needed to succeed in environments that require the use of computers and the Internet. The Global Standard 3 is an internationally recognized standard for digital literacy and reflects the most relevant skills for school and business today.
